One of the greatest challenges of building a balances physique is shaping the muscle. It’s easy to show up at the gym and go through the motions, set after set. But when you want to alter the way your physique looks, it takes more than just lifting weights. It takes extreme focus and concentration.
Today we want to specifically target chest training, and shaping your chest muscles. It’s true that the almighty chest builder is the bench press. Pressing movements allow you to push more weight which overloads thus muscle, thus with proper recovery, makes the muscle grow. However, it’s the isolation exercises that help shape your chest.
Chest Shaping Workout
Below is a sample chest shaping workout. It involves just a combination of pressing and isolation exercises. The difference is with this workout we’re going to focus the same amount of energy on isolation movements as we do with the pressing exercises. We’re also going to start put with a flye exercise and alternate flyes with presses rather than saving the flyes for the end of the workout.
