Should You Cycle Off Natural Test Boosters?

With most natural testosterone boosters, there’s really no need to cycle off. Unless the label instructs otherwise, you can stay on year-round with no side effects, in most cases.

Why? Because natural test boosters (if truly natural) are a blend of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients as opposed to an unnatural source.

However, you can actually benefit more from test boosters by cycling them. And in this post, I’m going to explain why you should consider this.

In this post, you’ll learn:

  • 2 reasons why you should cycle test boosters
  • Ideal cycle
  • My personal cycle
  • Do you need PCT for natural test boosters?
  • Test boosting ingredients you should always take
  • Are there other ways to boost testosterone?

3 Reasons Why You Should Cycle Test Boosters

Cycling off natural test boosters isn’t completely necessary. But the problem is you can get better gains if you choose to cycle them. And here’s the 2 core reasons why…

  1. Your body may get used to the same formula over time, which at this point may become less effective. If you give your body a short break, you can start back and potentially make better muscle gains.
  2. Your receptors can weaken after a long period of your testosterone production being stimulated for a long period of time.
  3. You should be taking specific supplements for specific purposes based on the goals you set for yourself. Once you reach that goal, you should set another goal and that may require changing your supplement regimen. So you’re not only cycling your test booster, you may also cycle your other supplements.

Ideal Cycle for Natural Test Boosters

Should you cycle off natural test boosters?

The recommended cycle for natural test boosters:

  • 8 weeks on
  • 4 weeks off

This is typically what you’ll see on the labels of most natural test boosters.

Here’s the thing though. Make sure you take it for at least 8 weeks. If you stop at 4 weeks, you may be disappointed.

You see, natural testosterone boosters take much longer to see any results than taking steroids or prohormones. You do have to be patient and give it time.

**Not all testosterone boosters are the same, so make sure you carefully read the label and the recommended doses and cycle time. The above is what I have seen for the majority of these types of supplements.

My Personal Natural Test Booster Cycle

Below I’m going to share my personal cycle, and why I feel this is more effective.

As a disclaimer, I cannot recommend that you go outside of what the label says. This is simply my preference.

  • 12 weeks on
  • 4 weeks off
  • 12 weeks on
  • 4 weeks off

I’m not suggesting that you go against what the label says (and labels may vary with different test boosters). But from my personal experience, I’ve gotten better results that may give you the best results.

I do suggest getting back on the same test booster after your 4 weeks off. This is where you’ll truly find out how well the product works and how much muscle you gain (and fat you lose) on the 2nd cycle.

Here’s a short video from Massive Joe’s further explaining why you should cycle natural testosterone boosters…

**Another note is while you’re taking a natural test booster document your progress during the cycle. This way you have a log to measure yourself against, and you’ll be able to tell if it’s really working (or not).

Do You Need PCT For Natural Test Boosters?

You shouldn’t need any PCT (post cycle therapy) after taking a natural testosterone booster. Let me reiterate ‘natural.’

To explain why you shouldn’t need anything post-cycle, let’s first understand what post cycle therapy is.

PCT has two important roles:

  1. Restores your body’s ability to produce natural testosterone after a harsh cycle
  2. Helps you keep most of your gains after a cycle

PCT is often referred to by anabolic steroid users because steroids shut down your body’s ability to make its own testosterone.

If you don’t do something to bring up your natural levels, you can kiss most of the gains you made on the cycle good-bye, as explained on broscience.com. And this could also cause unwanted side effects.

Most natural testosterone boosters are a combination of herbal ingredients and specific vitamins and minerals that work together to create more free testosterone.

It’s working with your body to produce more natural testosterone. For this reason, you shouldn’t need any type of post cycle therapy or supplementation.

**If you’re taking something stronger, such as a prohormone or any synthetic or unnatural substance, then you will more than likely need to take something for post-cycle.

With something natural like TestoFuel (our recommended brand), you don’t need a PCT.

Test Boosting Ingredients You Should Always Take

There are some common ingredients in test boosters that you should never cycle off. There are going to be the core vitamins and minerals that your body needs for purposes other than boosting testosterone.

You should always take:

  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Vitamin B6
  • Vitamin D

Most testosterone supplements contain one or more of the above. And all of these vitamins and minerals are crucial to optimizing health, especially in men.

If you decide to cycle off your test booster, then make sure you’re still taking a multivitamin that contains adequate amounts of zinc, magnesium, and vitamins B6 and D. Or you can take these individually.

Are There Other Natural Ways to Boost Testosterone?

how to cycle natural test boosters

After reading more about these types of supplements and whether or not to cycle them, you may decide you don’t want to deal with any of that. So are there other natural ways to increase your testosterone levels without taking a test booster?

Yes, there are!

In fact, there are 2 extremely simple ways to naturally boost test.

  1. Weight training
  2. Your nutrition plan

Weight Training

Notice I didn’t just say ‘working out.’ I specified weight training because lifting heavy weights will temporarily increase your hormones.

I recommend that you dedicate 3-4 days a week to lift weights and dedicate 45 minutes to each workout.

You could do a simple workout 4-day workout schedule like this:

  • Monday: Lift weights
  • Tuesday: Lift weights
  • Wednesday: Rest
  • Thursday: Lift weights
  • Friday: Lift weights
  • Saturday: Rest
  • Sunday: Rest

Or here’s an ideal 3-day workout schedule:

  • Monday: Lift weights
  • Tuesday: Rest
  • Wednesday: Lift weights
  • Thursday: Rest
  • Friday: Lift weights
  • Saturday: Rest
  • Sunday: Rest

And stick with compound exercises such as bench press, squats, and deadlifts.

Nutrition

Nutrition also plays a huge role in testosterone. There are certain foods you can eat that will have a greater impact than others on not only your hormones but also for building muscle (which is what we all want).

Whereas you should be eating a balance of protein, carbs, and fats, it’s more about avoiding foods that can actually lower your testosterone.

Stay away from…

  • Refined sugars
  • Sodas
  • Processed meats
  • Frozen dinners

Will You Cycle Your Test Booster?

The benefits of cycling natural test boosters definitely outweigh staying on the same supplement for months on-end. Our bodies can quickly adapt to most any supplement.

However, I want to reiterate that you should give your test booster plenty of time to work. 8 weeks is the minimum. The last thing you want is to start getting results around week 6 only to stop taking it for 2 weeks.

Also, if the test booster you’re taking is truly natural, then you should be ok staying on it longer, as long as there’s no warning on the label (which, again, with a true natural test booster, there shouldn’t be any harmful side effects).
